You’re invited: an action learning taster session

A small, hand-picked group. A half-day online. A fresh way to think through the challenges you’re carrying.

Why you’re seeing this page

This page isn’t public. I’ve shared it with a small number of people I think would bring something genuinely valuable to the room, and you’re one of them.

I’m running a taster action learning session, and I’m looking for people with different backgrounds, skills and ways of thinking. Your experience and perspective are exactly what makes this kind of group work, and I’d love you to be part of it.

What is action learning?

Action learning is a structured way for a small group of peers to help each other think through real work challenges.

Each person brings an issue they’re wrestling with. Rather than jumping in with advice, the rest of the group asks questions. Good questions, from people who see the world a little differently from you, open up new angles you might not have found on your own.

Then you commit to an action. That’s the bit that turns a good conversation into real progress.

Who it’s for

Action learning is especially valuable if you don’t often get the chance to think out loud about your work. Perhaps you’re a senior leader and there aren’t many people at your level to talk things through with. Perhaps your relationship with your manager isn’t one where you can muse openly about what’s frustrating you or what you’re unsure of.

If you’ve ever wished you had a thoughtful, confidential space to step back and think, this is it.

What the taster includes

  • A half-day action learning session, online via Zoom, with a small group of peers

  • A 15-minute one-to-one follow-up call with me afterwards, to reflect on what came up and how your action is going

This is a one-off taster. Action learning usually works as an ongoing group that meets regularly over several months, so members get to know each other’s work and ways of learning. The taster gives you a real experience of the approach before anything longer-term is on the table.

The investment

£79 per person. This is a significantly reduced rate for the taster.

Are you a charity CEO? Bring a fellow charity CEO along and you’ll both get £30 off, so it’s just £49 each. Charity leadership can be a lonely role, and sharing the experience with a peer can make it even more valuable.

In return, I’ll ask you for two things after the session:

  1. A short testimonial I can use in my marketing and publicity

  2. Three things I could do to make the experience even better

Your honest feedback will directly shape how I run future groups.

How the date works

Once the group is confirmed, I’ll find a date that works for everyone taking part. There’s no need to commit to a date now, just let me know you’re interested and I’ll be in touch.

About me

I’m Hayley Watts, founder of Inspireful. I’ve spent many years as a leader myself, including nine as a charity CEO, and I now work with business owners, executives and teams on coaching, facilitation and training. I know how valuable it is to have space to think, and how rarely senior people get it.

Ready to join?

Places are deliberately limited so the group stays small and focused.
